To gain a greater idea of the HPCVD deposition and doping method, we carried out synchrotron micro-X-ray fluorescence (XRF) mapping experiments to quantitatively map the distribution of changeover metallic dopants in HPCVD manufactured Fe2+:ZnSe optical fibers. Micro-XRF can be a useful procedure as a result of its higher sensitivity and sub-micron
